I am an off-the-wall free thinker and an idealist. 

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist from Cleveland, Ohio and a proud 4th generation HBCU graduate. I earned my Bachelor's in Sociology from Hampton University, and a Master's degree in Couples & Family Therapy from The University of Maryland. I have been living in Maryland for 13 years. I love being a therapist, and I also love my roles as wife and mother of two.

I use an educational approach based in Gottman and Emotionally Focused Therapy with my clients to explore how they show up in their relationships and why. My job is not to take sides but to enrich your communication and problem solving within the relationship.

My comfort zone is in experimenting with new ways to do things as a couple, or individual. I often see individuals to work on concerns related to their sexuality or relationships.

In 2022 I became a Board Approved MFT Supervisor from the Maryland Board of professional Counselors and Therapists and earned title of Certified Sexologist, recognized by the American Board of Sexology in 2023.

Some of the highlights of my 13 year career have been working in an inpatient psychiatric hospital with critically severe eating disorder patients, and later working with combat veterans and their families treating combat trauma and military sexual trauma.

Living in the DMV area, many clients have top secret security clearances, or work high profile jobs, and need a high level of discretion for their treatment services. The Haven Center is a place where every client can expect for their privacy to be prioritized.
